Welcome to the written depiction of my Namibian Experience with the Peace Corps! This blog will document the crazy adventure that I have embarked upon. I hope this blog will serve as a means to keep my family and friends updated on my adventures in Namibia, as well as, aid future volunteers in any way possible.

Contact

I am unbelievably lucky and my site is in a small town. This means I have regular access to internet and can communicate relatively easily with people. I am also communicating with some people through letters via snail mail. No matter the means, I would love to hear from anyone and keep in touch!

Friends and family with Iphones or Android smartphones:
There is an App called Whatsapp you can download and we can chat for FREE! (it does use some data) Just email me your phone number and let me know you are downloading the app!

Email:

Raelyn89@gmail.com
*Friends and family: feel free to email me for my Skype information :)

Regular Mail:

Any and all forms of packages and/or letters are accepted!

If you need help thinking of what to write/say in a letter, just remember I LOVE hearing about everyday life. Tell me what you do, where you go, who you talk to, who you like, who sucks, describe your lunch, who's in the tabloids, what baby Angelina just adopted, and anything else about YOU is absolutely wonderful.

If you would like to send a package, some things I regularly miss from the beautiful homeland are:

Gummy Candies
Macaroni and Cheese packets (just the cheese packets, I can get noodles)
Beef Jerky
Brownie Mix
Pictures of your face to hang in my flat!
Peanut butter M&M's
Random colorful things
crafty materials
Crystal Light or other drink mixes
and anything else that is random, practical or fun!

Send packages and letters to the following address through flat rate mail and the US Postal Service:
Crystal Bright
Po box 618
Outjo, Kunene Region
Namibia
(there is no zip code)

*Although the post office may tell you it will take 2 weeks to get here, the truth is it takes a month. Also, wrapping packages in duct tape and/or drawing crosses or writing bible verses on them can help them get to me!
